About Me

I am highly motivated when I have the time to ensure accuracy in my work, deep-dive into the subject matter, and operate within high standards that push me to produce excellent work. I am a self-starter and enjoy heads-down, focused, and individual work while also enjoying the opportunity to contribute to a team. I’m looking for a role as an instructional designer with a company that values high-quality deliverables and teamwork.

My experience:

I have more than 3 years of experience in Spanish language instructional design, research, and translation. I have conducted research on various complex topics and created resources to present findings to peers and colleagues in an accessible manner. I have been highly successful with developing Spanish and English instructional design and using tech tools, such as Articulate 360, Adobe, and Camtasia. I have experience with learning management systems (LMS), such as Schoology, Canvas, and Desire2Learn. Lastly, I have produced high-quality and award-winning  writing that has been presented at conferences, published, and used for informational purposes in many settings.

My strengths:

High performer - I am a proactive and self-starting go-to person that gets things done with high quality and impactful project management and task-prioritization.

Discipline and Focus - I am organized and structured with my goals and activities and deliver consistent, reliable, and high-quality results. I am driven to accomplish tasks and I maintain focus for extended periods of time to accomplish goals.

Collaboration and Leadership - I get along with just about anyone and build bridges between people and teams to find common ground, solve problems, and communicate effectively.

Learning - I am dedicated to the process of learning and have the capacity to dive deep into the subject matter to gain expertise; I constantly seek challenge and growth.

My hobbies:

I love spending time with my family, being active, and traveling. Most of my family lives in Denver, as do I, and we enjoy quality time together often. As far as activity goes, I love walking with my dog, skiing in Breckenridge or Keystone, going to the gym, and playing volleyball. I used to play volleyball in college, and this past year I was the head coach at Legacy High School in Broomfield. Ever since my study abroad experience in Spain, I have been obsessed with travel. Fortunately, while I was getting my MA in English, I traveled much of Europe. Still, I have many bucket list locations to go to! Finally, I truly enjoy learning. Learning new things is probably my favorite hobby.
